Create your own Spathroom (tip: it’s easier than you think…)

Lack of time?  Low on funds? Because a spa day can seem like a distant dream, we’ve worked with our Skincare Expert Nichola Joss to devise a seven point plan using our genius new Sleep and Relax products and some relaxation techniques to ensure YOU get the mind detoxing, body beautifying time out you need.

Spathroom

Spathroom in seven steps….

1. Fill your bath tub with warm water and pour a generous amount of Calming Luxury Bath Float or Unwind Luxury Bath Float under running water to fill the bath with bubbles.

2. Place a fluffy towel on a towel heater and light the Daydream Candle or Unwind Candle.

3. While the bath is running, massage Smoothing Silk Polish or Warming Sugar Polish into your skin from top to toe, massaging in upward circular motions towards the heart and paying particular attention to the back of your thighs. Enjoy the luxurious warming sensation of Warming Sugar Polish as it heats up on your skin – it’s such a treat for the winter months!

4. Turn off the bathroom lights, step into the bath and lie back, closing your eyes and taking deep breaths in and out through your nose to fully enjoy the calming aroma of the essential oils.

5. Try to switch off and take your mind off everything that is happening in your life; this is your time to escape from the pressures of everyday life.

6. When you’re feeling fully rested and calm, step out of the bath and wrap yourself in warm fluffy towel to dry yourself.

7. Smother your skin in Comforting Night Butter or Cocooning Body Butter. The shea butter will sink into your skin to nourish and hydrate. Enjoy the delicious scent of the butter as it lingers on your skin and helps you to Relax for the evening or drift off to Sleep.

 

Why is this YOU time so essential?

According to Nichola Joss ‘a little time out will help keep the mind and body relaxed and prevent longer term health and wellbeing issues.’ She recommends ‘a candlelit bath once a week using the Sanctuary Spa Sleep or Relax range; if you do this before bed you’re guaranteed a good night’s sleep.’
