Have you ever wanted a gorgeous nail design, done by yourself for a special occasion but thought it was too difficult, would take to long or would be too messy? Well I have a quick and easy nail art tutorial that is easy to do and can be switched up to suit your outfit.

If you try this look, share it with #SanctuaryNails so we can see your recreations.

Step 1: Apply a base coat to your nails to even out your nail and stop your polish from staining.

Step 2: Take your base colour and apply 2 coats of this on your nails.

Step 3: Apply your second colour in a semi-circle shape along your cuticle. Don’t worry about the circle not being perfectly neat at the edge, it won’t be seen. TOP TIP If you have hole reinforcers, place one of these on the part you want the semi-circle, and paint over the rest of the nail.

Step 4: Take a dotting tool and dip it in the colour you have just applied. Add a line of dots in a slight curve along the edge starting in the middle and working out either side creating a scalloped edge. TOP TIP If you don’t have a dotting tool, you can use the end of a bobby pin or a dress makers pin head.

Step 5: Take your dotting tool again and this time dip it in your third and final colour. Place a dot within the middle of each of the little scallops.

Step 6: Apply 2 coats of your chosen top coat to seal in your gorgeous design!
