Prepare For Your Spa Day

Two girls in Koi

There's so much to do at our beautiful spa in London's Covent Garden that it's worth taking a few moments to plan your day to be sure you don't miss out on anything!

Book your treatment times in advance

While you can always add extras on the day, the only way to guarantee that you get exactly the treatment you want, exactly when you want it is to book in advance. Call our advisors and have everything booked in together.

Don't forget that you have a complimentary treatment with a Spa Day – either the Sleep Retreat or Infrared. Choose which you prefer and book a time in advance since both are subject to availability.

Think about any little extras you might want

How about lunch? Our main course, light bite and dessert with a soft drink, regular glass of house wine and tea or coffee is amazing value when booked in advance.

Look through all the facilities

We're not suggesting you map out a schedule, but sometimes guests have enjoyed themselves so much in the lounge and the pool that they've forgotten to visit the hammam steam room or sauna!

Make a note of when your treatments are so that you know when you need to be somewhere and then you can fit all the other spa activities around them.

What to bring with you:

Bring any gift vouchers or confirmation letters with you for check in.

Bring a pair of flip-flops to walk around the spa and a swimsuit – although you are welcome to uphold the tradition of swimming naked if you prefer!

A towelling robe and plenty of towels are provided. We also have lots of indulgent Sanctuary body washes, shampoo, conditioner, cleansers and moisturisers – as well as lots of cotton wool and hairdryers. There are plenty of plug sockets in our vanity area so that you can use any straighteners or hot brushes of your own if you like.

There's no need to bring cash! You can charge any extras throughout the day to your account in order to make life easier. All your personal belongings should be left safely in your locker.

Spa etiquette on the day

To maintain the serene ambiance of the spa, we ask you not to use your mobile phone, iPod or cameras on the premises. We also ask you not to bring your own food or drink with you – we try to cater for all tastes in our different menus, but if you have specific dietary requirements, just let us know in advance.

We love to see our guests enjoying themselves! If you are with a group of friends, however, please be aware of those who may wish to sleep and keep noisier conversations for the lounge and the restaurant.

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your treatment time – there is a pleasant waiting area outside all the treatment rooms to relax in. This means that treatments start on time and ensures that every guest receives the full treatment. If you are late we may have to finish the treatment early to minimise inconvenience for other guests. Part of the charm of The Sanctuary is that it is housed in a beautiful old building with many different levels – that does mean there are quite a lot of stairs! So make sure you give yourself plenty of time to reach your appointment.

The small print

Here's where we put all the terms and conditions. They tend to sound a bit strict, but rest assured that all of our staff want to help you enjoy your day. If anything is wrong – let us know – in advance if possible - and we'll try to help or rearrange things!'
