    Super hot bath with candles around the bath and favourite music on makes me happy. Afterwards more happines brings a relaxing time on the sofa being wrapped with cozy blanket.

    What makes me happy is spending time with my husband and new baby son. Doing the little things like taking a long walk in the sunshine in Brockwell park and then stopping off in Herne Hill to buy something yummy for lunch!

    1) family catchup meal on a Sunday (it’s a rare treat that we’re all available)
    2) trips to the beach, any beach
    3) movie night with friends eating takeaway, crisps, ice cream and chocolate. The more food the better
    4) cuddles with my new godson who is the most gorgeous thing in the world
    5) relaxing with a bubble bath music and book. Nothing is better on a day off to de-stress!

    Helping someone out, even just a little thing. Win win situation- a costs nothing except little time and effort – they feel happy and so do you.
    Going to the gym – not so good at the time, but feel very happy (and self righteous ! ) afterwards.

    My advice on how to feel happy is: Empathy.
    Empathy matters not just because it makes you good, but because it is good for you. It has the power to heal broken relationships, erode our prejudices, expand our curiosity about strangers and make us rethink our ambitions. Ultimately empathy creates the human bonds that make life worth living.

    A couple of things that never fail
    The freebie:.
    Turn off the computer or TV, music etc. Sit up properly, hands on lap, close eyes. Count to ten slowly, with the breath, in mm 1, out on 2 etc, relaxing more and sending tension down through your feet with each outbreath. Makes a huge difference, just taking ten

    The non-freebie:
    Phone us a friend and invite them out to dinner, offer to pay. Works wonders every time.

    Dancing around the house with my headphones and some super cheesy dance tunes on always gives me a boost when I feel low. Singing along is not optional: to feel the joy the pipes have to be blasted

    No mod cons or competitiveness. Just being in the moment. Absolute bliss. X

    Being lulled gently to sleep in bed at night by my Siamese cat, purring his heart out as he settles across the top of my head on the pillow, where he likes to sleep and keep guard over me, his special person.


    a bundle of fluff and joy cute as can be my babe is my life I adore him we have fun and cuddles too! we sit in the sun shine together and he loves having his fur coat combed many a lovely hours this picture speaks volumes!
