Our 3 favourite afternoon teas – the perfect post noon indulgence

Posted on in LIFESTYLE & #LETGO with 0 Comments

During the week, our eating habits are like clockwork – breakfast, lunch & dinner (only the brave dare invite Team Sanctuary to a 1pm meeting!), but at the weekend we throw the rule book out of the window & welcome lazy mornings, brunches & the holy grail – afternoon tea.

Here’s three of our favourites that we think you’ll love too:

Bea’s of Bloomsbury – Bloomsbury & St. Paul’s, London.

Bea’s describe their afternoon tea as a casual, humble & no-frills take on the classic. They encourage you to take time to “sit and have a cuppa tea, enjoy the company of good friends and be surrounded by amazing cakes”.

They offer a classic or champagne afternoon tea – we imagine you can guess which one we went for…

The Lowry – Manchester

Described as Manchester’s most fashionable hotel, The Lowry is the place to go & with five stars under its belt it’s easy to see why.

This is one of the most elegant afternoon teas we’ve seen & is perfect for a special occasion. They even offer a children’s afternoon tea for the little ones if you bring along the family!

BB Bakery – Covent Garden, London

BB Bakery is a stunning little tea room in Covent Garden (just around the corner from Sanctuary Spa HQ- dangerously convenient…) but the real gem of BB Bakery is their Afternoon Tea Bus Tour.

Take a tour of London while indulging in a variety of delicious treats – this is the perfect way to see the sights of the capital & would be fantastic for birthdays, hen dos & weddings.

Want to know a secret? If you visit any of these venues for afternoon tea this October you’ll be in for a little Sanctuary treat too! Look out for a gift bag at your table…
