To make skin glow ahead of makeup application, I cleanse and exfoliate skin to prep, clean and smooth, and then I apply a hydrating and nourishing facial mask which will help to lock moisture into the skin. Finally I give the skin an intensive facial massage using Sanctuary Therapist’s Secret Facial Oil to plump skin and give added dewiness and radiance.

To get limbs party ready, I give clients a vigorous deep tissue lymphatic drainage massage on the leg and hip area which immediately reduces puffiness and fluid retention and adds tone to the muscles, whilst also improving the texture of the skin. Then I finish skin with a light application of St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Dry Oil to add glow, radiance and definition.

• There are many pre party no’s that we must remember!

1) Heavy body butters can stain dresses so use a light lotion or body serum, which will absorb into the skin immediately.

2) Ensure your deodorant dries before getting dressed.

3) Don’t apply nourishing facial oil before applying makeup as your makeup may slip off. Instead try Sanctuary Wonder Oil Serum, which is a light version of a facial oil and sinks into skin immediately to give a lovely silky finish.

4) Stay away from aggressive facial treatments that will leave the skin red and stressed before a big party.

5) Don’t rush when applying self tan and always use a tanning mitt for a smooth streak-free finish – don’t assume you can apply it with your bare hands as you can’t!

Lighting changes the surface of the skin, so if you’re going to be taking party photos with a flash ensure you mattify your skin slightly when applying makeup. Use a makeup primer or BB Cream after moisturiser as this will lock the moisture into the skin, but reduce added shine.
