Well Hello There!

new yearHappy New Year!

I hope that you had a lovely Christmas season, and are facing 2015 well rested and raring to go!

At Little Wood we enjoyed a very peaceful festive season this year with lots of lazy mornings and country walks, mixed in with the usual excitement, toys and food of course!

So, on to our New Year loves from Little Wood…

Us and Them
Early January brought beautiful, frosty weather in our part of the world, and we have made the most of it with plenty of time spent outside. The kids love to get out on their scooters, and so we did just that…

We also visited the seaside for a (very bracing!) stroll. But there’s nothing quite like the expression of a child who is let onto the sand in the middle of Winter!

And we even got a little sprinkling of snow. Not quite enough for a snowman, but still – you have to make the most of it when you can!

Me and Him

Much like many others I’m sure, we have started 2015 on a bit of a health kick. We bought a juicer, and have been researching recipes and combinations to give our immune systems a much-needed boost, and see us through the Winter cold and flu season.

Our favourite blend of apple, banana, pineapple, spinach, pear and Goji berries might not look the most appetising, but actually tastes pretty good. And we are convinced that we are feeling the benefits after just a few weeks.

Little Me

I’ve been combating the January blues by filling the house with flowers and plants this month. It is a much needed pick-me-up after the decorations and twinkly lights of December have come down…

And doing a little bit of shopping in the Sales too…

February for us will signal half term, and we are already planning some days out and activities to keep us busy. The kids are spending a lot of time wishing for one of those really heavy snow falls that means school is cancelled and sledging is on the cards. And I’m just really looking forward to the milder days of Spring.
See you next month!

Have you made any resolutions or lifestyle changes for this new year? I’d love to know!
