Well Hello There!

After a blustery start to June, things have finally settled at Little Wood, and we’ve had a lovely couple of weeks enjoying milder days and sunshine. The countryside around us really comes into its own in the Summer months, and it has been so lovely to spend June afternoons and evenings in the midst of it.

I hope you’ve been having a lovely month too!

In June, we have been loving…

Us and Them

Dinner on the patio! There’s something extra-special about eating outside, perhaps because we don’t have opportunity to do it all that much, but we’ve been enjoying our meals alfresco as much as possible this month.

And it means less crumbs on the kitchen floor too!

We’ve also been visiting a beautiful fairy wood. So magical, even for the adults!

And our bunny friends have been keeping us entertained with their antics too. We came across some little newborn ones over in the wooded part of our garden one evening. They were so tame that they almost could have been pet ones. We do love them a lot – even if they are really fond of eating our herbs!

Me and Him

Besides bunny proofing, we’ve been preparing our home for a magazine photoshoot this month. It was a really fun experience, but it was lovely to get back to normal again after it. Family life and super tidy are not the best bedfellows!

We’ve also started on a new fitness mission and have been taking advantage of milder, brighter evenings and running near our home. Fresh air and some exercise is doing us the world of good, and it’s amazing the things you see when you take a little time to get outside…

Little Me

I’ve been loving seasonal flowers this month, especially hydrangea and stock. The smell is amazing, and such beautiful colours too!

We have such a busy July in store with school finishing for the Summer, holiday schemes, family breaks away and a trip to France too. I’ll really look forward to sharing a little of it with you next month.

Have a wonderful July!
