February Loves from Little Wood

Well Hello There!1 rotate

The frigid temperatures of January have given way to a milder and (slightly!) brighter month with us.  Little signs of the season to come are starting to pop up all over the countryside, and we are so glad to see them.  Snowdrops and Willow buds are appearing all around Little Wood, and they are the perfect antidote to these late Winter days.  Come on Spring, we are ready for you!

In February we have been…

Us and Them

Enjoying time together.  Half term arrived at the perfect moment this month, when everyone was tired and in need of a break from routine.  There have been plenty of sibling rows, and lots of lazy days, but a full and chaotic house is the very best kind in my estimation.  I’m thankful for it, even when mediating for the five hundredth time!

We have also been encouraging our little three to take notice of the changing seasons, and get behind the camera for a change. It has been so interesting (and heart warming too!) to see the world captured from their perspective.  I think we have a couple of little photographers in the making as well!

Me and Him

This month has mostly involved a lot of work on both our parts.  I often think of these early months of the year as a time to consolidate, and prepare for the seasons to come.  We’ve been doing just that, and sneaking in quiet evenings, away from the laptops, when we can too.

Little Me

I’m sure I said it last month too, but home and family are what I’m enjoying most as February draws to a close.  I’ve been pottering; arranging (and rearranging!) our kitchen, tidying and thinking to Spring.  I’m gearing up for a big de-clutter in this new season, and a few simple little home updates too.  I’m excited to show you!

See you next month, and here’s hoping it’s full of bright days, blue skies and plenty of time outside in the midst of it.  We live in hope, don’t we?!
