So, so lovely

on 31/08/2017

Really loved this. Have quite temperamental skin - prone to frequent flare ups and breakouts. This is just so lovely and gentle - smells a bit odd at first but I've grown to love it. Skin feels so soft and glowing afterwards. It hasn't totally cleared up my skin but it certainly helps to flush out the city grime and make it glow.

I'm very surprised by the bad reviews as I really love this product. Was curious about the hot cloth cleansing for a while and when visiting Boots yesterday, saw an offer for this brand. I bought 3 products for the price of 2 and gave it a try last night. The smell of the polishing hot cloth cleanser is very subtle in my opinion and the cream is a delight to apply on the skin. It is a very creamy (almost oily) texture but a real delight to apply on a tired dried skin. The muslin cloth is a tiny bit rough but wiping the cream away gently makes it totally fine. I followed the instructions and washed my face with cold (very cold) water afterwards, dried it. My skin felt polished (yes, it really did) and was so soft. I applied the Sanctuary Spa night repair cream afterwards and it felt so good I am now looking for more products from this lovely brand. Very happy with my discovery.

Maybe I just became over excited with all the hype about hot cloth cleansers because I expected this to be some kind of miracle product and it just left me feeling disappointed. It's nice enough to apply and massage into your skin but the muslin cloth is just a waste of time, you're supposed to rinse it in hot water and wring it out and apply it to your face pre-cleanse to open pores but the second you wring it out it cools down. Just use a flannel it works much better. Also, it tends to leave my skin feeling a little dry after.

Horrid smell

on 21/05/2014

I was looking forward to this for so long, but as soon as I tried it the smell made me feel so nauseous I had migraines the whole day! I tried to disguise the smell with some jasmine oil, but this just smells so awful. The cleanser itself is nice and creamy but its such a shame about the smell.

What have you done to my cleanser?!?!?

on 26/11/2013

Like all the other reviewers here, I love(d) this stuff... have been using it for about five years and nothing was a patch on it. However, the packaging has now been redesigned and the product inside it, well, horrid. Whether I just have a bad one from a bad batch I don't know, but it comes out of the tube more like hard toothpaste than cleanser, it doesn't clean as well and it is just not nearly as good. What happened Sanctuary?!?!?!?!?

truely illuminating

I purchased today for the first time| I've been very stressed recently and my skin was so tired| and blemished and I wanted something that doesnt strip the naturel oils. This product is gorgeous| it is great quality for the price and my skin really is glowing| my blemishes have definately toned down too. I shall definately be trying out some of their other products!

Lovely creamy cleanser that doesn't dry skin out| just cleans and nourishes. Leaves skin so soft. I love this| first cleanser I've ever really loved and bought repeatedly. Would absolutely recommend.

This is the best cleanser ever. After i have cleansed and feel clean yet moisturised i nearly feel clear skinned enough to face the world make up free ( i said nearly!)!

Better than Liz Earle

on 31/03/2012

I've used Liz Earle's Cleanse & Polish but don't understand why people rave about it - this is far better! Doesn't aggravate my rosacea either:-)

on 30/01/2012

Smells a bit DIY| like linseed oil or something| but that's not a problem. Cleanses well| and is long lasting. The only reason it loses a star is that I find when I use it consecutively for more than 3 or 4 days it can make my skin feel a little tender.

Not the nicest smell

on 03/12/2011

It cleans well enogh but you have to ignore the horrible smell. I prefer Clean and Polish by liz Earle better.

Can't live without it cleanser!

After using Eve Lom for years and also the Amanda Lacey cloth style cleansers when the credit crunch kicked in I was looking for an affordable alternative. Well| I was so impressed with this that even if I COULD afford the expensive ones I would stick with this. It's revolutionised my skin and I swear the massage and method work wonders for anti-aging. I've put friends onto this and they all love it. Amaze!

Product leaves my skin feeling smooth but it smells like furniture wax! I can hardly bear the smell but if it didn't work I would throw it away right now. Not sure that I'll buy another unless I can somehow disguise the whiff of it...

Brilliant product the smell is fantastic! This was used on me when I had my facial at the spa and it was heavenly. It works wonders and leaves my skin feeling fresh| clean and hydrated. Probably the best cleanser on the Market| I will always use this from now on.

Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser

on 08/03/2011

I've been using this for about 2 weeks now and I am converted. I have super sensitive skin and this is so gentle yet deep cleansing at the same time. My skin feels so soft| its much brighter and clearer| plus it s a relaxing cleansing process. I definitely recommend this product and will continue to use.

Value for money

Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser

I love this product! It's just wonderful

How to Use

1) Place the cloth in hot water, wring out & lay over the face to open pores.
2) Gently massage the creamy cleanser over the face & neck using circular motions.
3) Polish off the cleanser using the warm cloth, being careful around the delicate eye area.
4) Rinse cloth in cold water, & place over face for 30 seconds to close pores
5) Finish by splashing your face with cool water. Pat dry gently & apply Illuminating Moisture Lotion.

Therapist's Tip: Cleanse twice. The first cleanse removes surface dust & dirt, the second goes deeper & allows the rich oils to penetrate the skin.
